What People Say?
Four of us rented MTB bikes from Zzuum and did a self guided 3-day tour along island Dugi otok.
Bikes were goof quality, reliable, maintained, prepared for the route. Everything listed as a part of the price came with bikes.
Communication with Zzuum was efficient, fast and professional.
Big thanks to Mrs. Adrijana who waited for us to return bikes even after working hours due to our tight schedule.
We will definitely rent bikes at Zzuum in future as well. 🙂 🙂Nina LukicHighly recommended! Nicolas was very helpful in organising our cycling tour of Uglian and Dugi Otok. The bikes he provided us with were in great condition and very well equipped with panniers, water bottle, tools etc. We booked our own accommodation (as his recommendations were fully booked) and Nicolas provided the bikes, suggested routes and transfers, including a private boat transfer from Pasman to Dugi Otok and luggage transfers as required. The transfers all worked faultlessly with very pleasant drivers. I'll also add that Nicolas was very patient and helpful with our requests and was a pleasure to do business with.
Highly recommended!TandkMExcellent experience, great customer service! Excellent customer service with great flexibility and personalized advise. Quality of the bikes is also great: bikes are clean, well-functioning and you receive all necessary equipment for your tour (e.g helmets, pump, additional tires, drinking bottles, etc.). Would definitely recommend!
RafGeunsNicholas at Zzuum customised an eight day, self guided, cycle tour of the Zadarian hinterland and archipelago for my wife and I, earlier this month. He was extremely flexible to our wishes and needs and produced a tour which we will long remember and almost certainly repeat. Our trekking bikes, though three years old, were in perfect working order (and are due to be replaced next year). The itinerary was carefully planned to include the most beautiful parts of a beautiful area. The accommodation was just what we requested and the luggage transfers, ferry and speedboat transfers were seamless. The customer service was the best we have encountered in many such cycle tours and in particular, Nicholas's attention to detail in the weeks of preparation made a potentially complicated tour so very easy and enjoyable. Many, many thanks.
Mick DwyerPerfect We went there ahead of time to find out what this would be all about. They were extremely helpful. We arranged a time for the next day. At the end of September, they seemed to have plenty of extra bikes. They gave us bottles of flavored mineral water and snacks to take with us. They told us how to get to the ferry for biking the island. I admit we were a little confused trying to find the ferry but after I spent more time looking at the map they gave us, it was really my fault. They provided a pack on the bike so we could put our extra things on the bike instead of our backpacks. The island is super beautiful. We biked a lot and had a nice dinner at a quiet restaurant along the sea.
MikeS533Great bikes & service Both Adrijana and nicolas have been great with us in supplying us with ideal bikes for our trip to dugi otok and the salt lake. Pannier bags were provided for all our things as well as spare tubes/ pump and toolkit in case of any problems. The bikes themselves are ideal with good gearing( needed it for some of the hills up to a fabulous viewpoint!) and disc brakes. Lovely people who will accomodate your every need with a smile. Pleasure meeting you and keep up the great service you provide
Mirek KDon't go cheap, just go Zzuum! During our holiday to Croatia this summer, we decided to have a cycle trip around the islands using the ferry. So we needed two proper bikes (not those wrecks you tend to get in most rental shops) with bags and some decent advise. We looked at all the options, others offered fairly cheaper, but were immediately persuaded by Nicolas's professionality, knowledge and swift response. A whole lot of questions went back and forward but this was no problem what so ever. So once arrived the bikes where all ready and waiting for us. After a patient briefing on where to go and what to do we set of escaping the masses for Dugi Otok. I would recommend doing this slightly later in the season, like in september, if you're not so good with the heat but overall, it was a beautiful experience giving us the most stunning views. Would do it again in a heartbeat!!
229sandyvGood bikes & exellent service We rented our bikes online, and everything was well prepared when we arrived in Zadar. The bikes were good, and took us around on asphalt and dirt roads in Zadar, Ugljan, Patsmani and Dugi Otok. We especially got fond of the coast road from Preko all the way down to Tkon, and the area around Sali. Two tips : Need a break from biking ? - try one day on a guided kayak tour ! (zzuum knows who to contact) Note that the boats between Zadar and Sali usually don't take bikes in the high season !
Conclusion : highly recommended !480lassec4 days in Zadar, biking about we stayed in Zadar for four days and used Zzuum bikes to get about and see all the sights.
The guy running Zzuum was terrific - friendly knowledgeable and helpful, and the bikes were good value.
We took them on the car ferry to Bribinj and had a great day cycling up to Bozava and back, the bikes were perfect for this.
The rental shop is conveniently located in the middle of the old town.hufnhuf
AN ISLAND OF DIVERSITY AND CONTRASTS
Dugi otok
SAHARUN
First of all, the beach Saharun is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Croatian coast. It has gained the reputation because of the white sand and clear blue sea. Saharun is surrounded by pine trees that provide a welcome shade in the summer. Obviously, these are all reasons for its popularity. Furthermore, it is almost 800 metres long and at some 250 metres from the shore it is 3.5 metres deep.
SALI
Village Sali is located on north-eastern coast of Dugi otok and has the largest population. It is very popular tourist destination because of its vicinity to the Kornati National Park and Telašćica Nature Park. You can discover its rich past in several churches, enjoy numerous outdoor activities but one thing you shouldn’t miss – Sali Festival called Saljske užance and its unique Tovareća mužika (donkey music).
LIGHTHOUSE
The lighthouse Veli rat was built in the 19th century and it is 42 metres high. In fact, Veli rat is the highest lighthouse on the Adriatic coast. Just behind the lighthouse you can find the chapel of St. Nicholas. As soon as you get here, you will realize why this is so popular destination. Definitely, a “must see” while on Dugi otok!
